Accommodation Pricing

Our current maximum refundable accommodation deposit is $325,000 and our maximum daily accommodation payment is $59.56.

The Department of Social Services website has a Residential Care Fee Estimator which can help you estimate the fees and charges you may be asked to pay while living in an aged care home.

Government assistance eligibility for Residents entering care after 1 July 2014 is determined by a means testing assessment involving a combined income and asset test. If you feel that you qualify for assistance you can obtain advice of your eligibility either from Centrelink or DVA.

The fee arrangements for aged care homes changed on 1st July 2014. New residents can choose how they pay the agreed accommodation price as per the pricing list below:

  • either as a lump sum refundable deposit, similar to an accommodation bond, this is called a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD)
  • a periodic payment, called a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP)
  • or a combination of both.

A new resident has up to 28 days to choose how they are going to pay the agreed accommodation price. We recommend that you seek financial advice when making this important decision. In cases where no lump sum payment is received, or when the combination option is selected, Dale Cottages will require the resident to complete the guarantee and indemnity provisions in the agreement.

You can find more information on our rooms and our pricing structure on the My Aged Care Website.
